“ A trip down memory lane... 50's style diner near Pilot truck stop at Exit 75 on I-95 near Dunn, NC. The staff are friendly and attentive, especially Star (the newest team addition), the menu has loads of delicious comfort food, and everything is terrific value. The operations manager is engaging, conversational, and makes customers feel welcome. All-day breakfast is available! The Chicken-Fried Steak and Liver & Onions were both home-style and tasty. The coffee was some of the best I've ever had! Stop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner... or just a piece of scrumptious pie! Dinner was great... so we are returning for breakfast! ”
“ Great people, excellent service, and true Southern hospitality! The food is made from scratch, and everything I tried was delicious. I ordered the chicken fried steak with sweet tea, and to my surprise, the lady even threw in a homemade strawberry cake—such a nice touch! Even though he told me my state of Texas sweet tea wasn’t the best lol , the one they served was actually pretty good. Definitely recommend this place! ”
“ Very delicious food! I ordered the Brightleaf Hot dog and it was the larger links, Ball Park size! My wife had the cheeseburger and my son had the Trucker's Breakfast. The Trucker's Breakfast was very delicious and she said the cheeseburger was delicious also. ”
“ Let me start off with some back ground of myself 25 yr successful restaurant owner/leader Great location sandwiched between 2 fuel stations One which has truck driver parking so potentially this may be a very busy establishment. My server Ashley was great Unfortunately she worked the floor by herself and this place has minimum 60-75 seats I sat and watched her run out of breathe going between tables Taking orders , to go orders , delivering food ,cleaning ,refills and even washing dishes in the back kitchen . This is way too much for 1 server to do while handling 20 in house guests and different tables . The kitchen handled the orders since there was at least 3 ppl working it The manager ,possibly the owner Was not present .wait she was here she did enter the building Did not greet anyone while walking by !!! Nor did she ask the server if she needed any help or ask any customer how there food was or if they needed anything She simply walked by at least 3 different times ran some reports off computer, and did what most lack luster managers do that don’t care , Went into her office. Now maybe the am shift isn’t busy enough for 2 servers but it’s busy enough for the manager or owner that was here to jump in and help . Food The food was good except the home fries with onions The onions were S big The other food I saw come out of the kitchen looked wonderful as well The cook definitely knows what she is doing So food was good great service great Management terrible Clearly employees run this place !! ”
“ Olde style 50s restaurant everything made from scratch .staff extra friendly made you feel right at home. I had the chili and hamburger steak the young waitress made the cakes herself I throughly enjoyed myself and definitely be back ”
